Manish Acharya

Manish G. Acharya (June 14, 1967 – December 4, 2010) was an Indian film director and actor. Acharya was best known for ''Loins of Punjab Presents'', which marked Acharya's debut as a film director. ''Loins of Punjab Presents'', which was released in 2007, starred Shabana Azmi.〔 His other film credits include a cameo as himself in the 2009 film, ''Luck by Chance'' and as narrator in ''Sita Sings the Blues''.〔
Acharya received a bachelor's degree from Grinnell College in physics in 1989.〔https://www.facebook.com/manish.acharya?sk=info〕〔http://loggia.grinnell.edu/page.aspx?pid=818〕 Acharya received a Master of Science from Iowa State in Industrial Relations.〔 He then obtained a Master of Fine Arts in film directing from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.〔
Acharya suffered a fall from a horse on December 4, 2010, in Matheran, Maharashtra.〔 He was taken to a hospital in Matheran, where he was pronounced dead from head injuries.〔 Acharya's funeral services took place at the Chandanwadi crematorium in south Mumbai.〔
